I forgot to mention that the screen shots in the KB are from 6.7 - but the idea is the same. Open Search 8 - Edit Data Source - Files. Click Specify File types. Add the extension in the White box.

I have the same issue.Outlook 2013 64 bit and X1 8 beta. Two Gmail IMAP accounts in my Outlook profile that did show up and were indexed with X1 6 and X1 7 no longer show up and are not indexed.
